Dorothy Irene Regula

Biography:  Dorothy Irene Regula, 98, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2017 at the Village of St. Edward in Akron,Ohio. Dorothy was born on February 19, 1919 in Sulphur Springs, Ohio to the late Otto and Erna (Klink) Hoffsis.  She was married July 6, 1941 to Elvin R. Regula who preceded her in death.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harvey and Robert Hoffsis as well as two sisters, Florence Prange and Julia Kalb.Dorothy is survived by sons David E. (Diana) Regula and Douglas A. (Ann) Regula; grandchildren Michael, Matthew, David(Lauren), Eric (Katrina), and Michael; and great grandchildren Grace, Jack, William, Christopher, Ella, and Katherine.Dorothy lived in Sulphur Springs where she was born and raised, moving to Akron thirteen years ago.
  She was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church on Ridgeton Road and a 1937 graduate of Sulphur Springs High School. After 30 years of loyal service, Dorothy retired from the Sears Catalog Store in Bucyrus.  A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Hoffsis and Rev. Bill Funk officiating. 
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30PM until the time of service.
