Dorothy L. Harriger

Dorothy L. Harriger died January 30, 2024, at Galion Pointe. She was 88 years old.

Dorothy was born at home on June 18th, 1935, in Tiro, Ohio. A life-long resident of Crawford County, she lived on the family farm much of her life with her parents and sister, and a long line of family dogs, always named Trixie. Dorothy attended North Robinson High School where she was active in a number of clubs. She graduated from high school in 1953 and went to work at General Electric in Bucyrus at age 19, retiring after 42 years there. She enjoyed shopping for bargains and looked forward to an annual trip to the Crawford County fair.

She was predeceased by parents Ira and Clara (Fritz) Harriger, brother Clarence Harriger, sister Ruth Harriger, and nephew Ron Harriger. She is survived by brother Roger (Sandy) Harriger of Galion, along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday February 10, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home, Bucyrus with burial to follow in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com.
