Biography: Donavan Preston Harper Age 46 of Bucyrus passed away peacefully at home on Sunday June 11, 2017. Donavan was born October 6 1970 In Bucyrus, Ohio to the late William A. Harper and Cynthia Diane Harper. In addition to his mother he is survived by sons Donavan Preston Harper II and wife Brittany; Dylan J. Harper; Dustin M. Harper; and Dekon W. Harper; daughters Ashley R Harper, Amber K Harper, and Kaleigh E Harper-Swalley; grandchild Harmonee Rose Harper; brother Shawn (Regina) Harper; sisters Stephanie Harper Angela (Jose’) Celestino and Sherry Jordan ; also one maternal grandmother Marjorie Holman as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Donavan lived his entire life in Bucyrus and attended Bucyrus High School. He was a member of VITM and Christ Gospel Churches; He was employed by Midwest Maintenance out of Piqua, Ohio. Donavan loved the Lord and had a compassion for the poor and homeless. He loved all of his family and friends dearly. Donavan is the creator of the “Prayer Squad” Facebook page. He has been a part of many “Blankets of Love” events as well as directing soup kitchens in Florida. The message that Donavan Harper spread to all he knew was to accept the Lord and lift your hands and praise him.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Hager officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home in Donavan Harpers name. In honor of his compassion to help the homeless the family will be accepting non perishable- personal hygiene products. These donated items will be distributed among the large population of homeless citizens in Bloomington, Indiana.
