Donald Edwin Haycook

Biography:  Donald Edwin Haycook, age 78, passed away October 3, 2017 amongst family. Donald was born to the late Almond and Ethel (Parr) Haycook December 20, 1938 in Bucyrus, Ohio. Donald is preceded in death by parents and family David Haycook, Carolyn Workman, and Mike Shumate.


Donald is survived by loving wife of 39 years Ellen (Bailey) Haycook; brother, Allen Haycook; stepchildren, Salina Shumate, Donald (Shirley) Johns II; grandchildren, Tabatha (Carl) Dye, Tami Alspach, Jeff Hayes, and Austin Johns, as well as 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Donald put in his time and retired from IB Tech. He enjoyed watching sporting events such as Nascar and the Cleveland Browns. Donald served with the Navy for 6 years and became a member of the Bucyrus Amvets. He took great pride in his landscaping and motorcycle.


Visiting hours are 2-4 and 6-8 at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home Friday October 6th. The funeral service is at 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Burial is at Oakwood Cemetery with military honors.
