David R. Hayes

Biography:  David R. Hayes, 66 of Crestline passed away on Saturday October 1, 2016 at Galion Community Hospital following an extended illness.  David was born Dec. 28, 1949 in Galion to the late Harry R. and Eileen (Woolensnider) Hayes.  He was married Jan. 16, 1971 to Gladys (Fannin) Hayes who survives.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 brother, 1 sister, and son in law Jimmy Dicus.


David is also survived by daughter Amie Dicus of Galion; grandchildren Amanda and Alec; one brother and 2 sisters. David lived his entire life in this area and graduated from Wynford H.S. in 1968. He Was retired from the Timken Company.  David was a car enthusiast and especially enjoyed corvettes. 


Friends may call at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm with graveside services to follow the visitation at Oakwood Cemetery.  Graveside Services will be conducted by Pastor Rodney Noblit.  Expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com and memorials may be made to Heritage Baptist Church or the American Heart Assciation.
