Danny E. Shade

Biography:  Danny E. Shade, 71 of Mansfield passed away on Monday July 17, 2017 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus.  Danny was born April 25, 1946 in Shelby to the late Willis Eugene and Norma (Harriff) Shade.  He was first married to Linda Kay (Donnenwirth) Shade on Sept. 23, 1967 and she preceded him in death on Jan. 10, 2000.  On Jan. 2, 2003 he married Vicky (Conn) Shade who survives.


Danny is also survived by sons Timothy, William, and Mark all of Mansfield; granddaughter Hannah Elizabeth Shade of Mansfield; step children John Grewell and Tracy Howell; brother David (Cheryl) Shade of Shelby; and former brother and sister in law Mike (Darla) Donnenwirth of Bucyrus and Saundra (Randy) Keith of Mansfield.


Danny was a retired teacher and guidance counselor at Mansfield Madison H.S. as well as a coach for various sports.  He retired the School System after 28 years and worked at the Mansfield Correctional Institute as a counselor for 10 years.  Dan graduated from Shelby High School, Muskingham College with a BA and Xavier University with his Masters Degree.  Danny enjoyed fishing and hunting.


The family will receive friends at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Friday from 3:00 pm until the time of the service at 5:00 pm.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation or the Am. Cancer Society.  Expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
