Dana Wesley Griffith, 78, of Bucyrus passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at home following a long battle with Parkinson’s. Dana was born on May 4, 1947 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Afton and Margaret (Lewis) Griffith. He was married July 15, 1972, to Carol (Blackburn) Griffith who survives. Dana is also survived by daughter Karen (Griffith) Gonzalez of Worthington, Ohio, son Neil Griffith and wife Dana Marie of Fort Wayne, Indiana; grandchildren Selena and husband David Andriani, Isabella, Xavier, and Sofia Gonzalez, also Abigail, Elizabeth, Joshua, and Matthew Griffith; brother Perry Griffith of Alturas, California; sister Valerie and husband Steve Regoli of Worthington, Ohio; sister-in-law Barbara Warren of Massachusetts, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Dana graduated from Worthington High School in 1965 and from Ohio Northern University in 1969. He and wife Carol moved to Bucyrus in 1985 from Circleville, Ohio. Dana retired from General Electric as an Electrical Engineer after working for 33 years.

Dana had many interests that included being a ham radio operator, marathon runner, cyclist, fly fisherman, and pilot. He was an Eagle Scout and volunteered as Scout Master for several years. Dana was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bucyrus.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday September 12, 2025 at 4:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until the time of the service. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation. Expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
