Dale B. Smith

Biography: Dale B. Smith, age 78, passed away at home Tuesday October 24, 2017. Dale was born to the late Joseph and Evelyn (Peck) Smith December 18, 1938 in Springfield, Ohio. Dale is preceded in death by parents and brother Joe “Bruce” Smith.


Dale is survived by loving wife of 56 years Barbara (Schiefer) Smith; daughters, Terrie (Toby) Ransom and Laurie Vanwyk; sister, Connie (Gene) Poffenbaugh; granddaughter, Amber Ransom as well as several nieces and nephews.


Dale worked with Ohio Foam Corporation in New Washington for over 20 years. Dale served with the U.S. Navy for 3 years. He enjoyed watching and collecting Nascar keepsakes. He was also very interested in antique bottle collecting. He spent lots of time going to flea markets and even digging in field always finding something to add to his collection.
