Christine Joy (Nickelson) Ricksecker

Christine Joy (Nickelson) Ricksecker, 64 of Bucyrus passed away on Monday December 8, 2025, at home following a longtime illness. Christine was born February 4, 1961, in Bucyrus to the late James Robert Nickelson and Rita Irene (Stover) Nickelson of Bucyrus. She was married on July 18, 1981 to Michael Ricksecker who preceded her in death on August 8, 2015. In addition to her father and husband, she was preceded in death by nephew Brian Nickelson and niece Ashley Leuthold Montgomery.

Christine is survived by her mother Rita, siblings James (Becky) Nickelson Jr., Mike (Betty) Nickelson, Sue Powell, and Grant (Carrie) Nickelson; special nephew that she raised Scott Wicker; as well as many additional nieces, nephews, friends, and her two favorite cats “Sweet Pea” and “Poppy”.

Christine graduated from Wynford High School in 1979 and had worked at United Church Directories and Black Hawk. She also volunteered for New Day Ministries that she was very passionate about. Christine was very creative and loved doing arts and crafts. She is remembered for her outgoing personality, contagious laugh, & a caring heart! She also was a huge fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday December 18, 2025, at 6:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Pastor Kaden Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until the time of the Service.
