Cheryl Ann Sturgell

Cheryl Ann Sturgell, 54 of Galion passed away on Thursday January 29, 2026, at Altercare of Bucyrus following a battle with cancer. Cheryl was born December 6, 1971, in Cheverly, Maryland to the late Robert Lewis Wynkoop II and Cheryl (Lemen) Dyer who survives in Orange Virginia. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother Robert Lewis Wynkoop III.

Cheryl is also survived by fiancé William Shanyfelt; daughters Breeze (Jason) Tuck, Victoria (Francheska) Raimond, Taihler Renee (Ricky) Pannell, and Cheyanne Love Sturgell; stepchildren Austin and Christopher Shanyfelt; 3 granddaughters and 4 grandsons; and brothers Ernie, Wayne, and Joseph Wynkoop.

Cheryl was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, music, playing dice games, word searches, and being with her grandchildren.
