Catherine L Snavely

Catherine Louise (Rizor) Snavely, 81, of Bucyrus, passed away on Tuesday June 17, 2025 at Bucyrus Community Hospital. Cathy was born August 8, 1943 in Galion, Ohio to the late Ira and Mary (Schnegelsberger) Rizor. Cathy graduated from Galion high school in 1961. She was married on August 8, 1962 to Adrin Snavely, a 63 year marriage, who survives. Cathy is also survived by 2 children, a daughter Denise Louise (Snavely) Graham with Steven W. Williams of Senecaville, Ohio, and a son Phillip Alan (Michelle) Snavely of Delaware, Ohio and 2 grandchildren Shannon Louise Graham and Michael Alan Snavely and 2 nieces LeAnn Raymond and Terri Lynn and 1 nephew Mark Sloan with many cousins sprinkled around the globe. Cathy was preceded in death by her parents and sister Cynthia Sloan.

Catherine played the piano and organ for several years at the Methodist Church in Galion. She enjoyed several employment opportunities at Porky's restaurant in Galion, Swan office and Ponderosa Steak House in Bucyrus. She really loved kids and babysat for several families in Bucyrus. She was 'Aunt Cathy' to many who remember her smiles and laughter and maybe a meal she prepared and shared. She was involved with 4-H for several years serving as an assistant advisor and then advisor for a local club. She was a member of a Mother's club with her children and a Card club where she enjoyed many friendships.

Traveling was a lifelong love with her parents, her husband, children and friends. A good time was always had, especially in her favorite of Arizona. She enjoyed reading a good mystery, games of all kinds and movies. An avid sports fan she loved cheering on the Buckeyes football and Indians baseball, was even known to share tricks of getting through super Mario video games.

She Loved, she was Loved, she was a Good Soul and will be missed.
