Carole Ann Rerko

Carole Ann Rerko, age 80, passed away at Altercare of Bucyrus, Friday, May 10, 2024. Carole was born to the late Frank and Elaine “Thorne” Plush July 11, 1943 in Bedford Ohio. Carole was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Kenneth Rerko. Carole is survived by son, Justin (Leanne) Rerko; brother, Gary Plush; sister, Gayle Reid; and her and Ken’s most cherished and selflessly loving friends Glenn and Dianna Merritt, to whom Justin will be forever indebted.

Carole loved animals.   She rode and bred horses early in her life and influenced an Appaloosa line in Australia.  Carole transitioned to dogs and competitively bred Miniature Pinschers for many years. She and husband Ken traveled throughout the US from dog show to dog show, showing their dogs at competitions and winning many awards.   She also shared her expertise and refined “MinPin” bloodline with friends throughout the world, including Japan and the Philippines, and helped establish competitive programs, her memory living through adored animals that continue to capture critical awards and bring their caretakers joy.
