Branden J. Benedict, 46, of Bucyrus passed away February 28, 2026 at the Ohio State University Hospital. Branden was born November 28, 1979 in Galion Ohio to the late Charles Leroy Benedict Sr. and Janet Sue (Cabell) Lykins of Bucyrus. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by grandmother, Barbara Pauley; Lindsey’s grandparents, Homer and Martha Ulmer, Arnulf Beck.

He was married July 11, 2003 to Lindsey (Ulmer) Benedict who survives along with five children; Cameron Skidmore of Bucyrus, Reyna (Vicente) Alejandro of Tiffin, Seth, Issac (Freedom Aspell), and Ashton Benedict all of Bucyrus; 7 grandchildren, Gabriella, Lilliana, Ivianna, Isabella, Ellianna, Jacob, and Jack; brother Chuck (Tamika) Benedict Jr. of Bucyrus; sister Penny Nelson of Bucyrus; grandparents Joseph (Carol) Cabell of West Virginia; father and mother in law Steven and Norma Ulmer of Bucyrus; brother and sister in laws, Sam (Monica) Ulmer, Stephanie (Jason) Lantz, and Abigail; Lindsey’s grandma, Margret Beck of Bucyrus.

Branden worked in Construction, mostly remodeling but was handy at many things. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, cleaning, and working. Most of all Branden enjoyed his children and grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday March 13, 2026 at the Freewill Baptist Church Fellowship Hall from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com. The family suggests memorials be in the form of contributions to the James Cancer Center for Research.
