Beth A. Shumaker

Biography:  Beth A. Shumaker, 57 of Bucyrus went to be with the Lord on Tuesday September 18, 2018 at home.  Beth was born April 15, 1961 in Bucyrus to the late Edwin Richard Shumaker and Marilyn E. (Kurtz) Shumaker who survives in Bucyrus.  Beth is also survived by brother Larry Shumaker and his wife Mary of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; niece Jodie (Jason) Robinson of Pickerington and their children Joel and Jonas; nephew John (Courtney) Shumaker of Akron; and very dear friend and caregiver Sue Faulkner.

Beth graduated from Colonel Crawford H.S. in 1979 and lived her entire life in Bucyrus.  She worked at Murphy Mart following High School and then worked at Swan Rubber for 23 years.  Beth last worked at Timken. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and the Ladies of the Moose.  She volunteered for the Humane Society and was active in the Bucyrus YMCA. Beth loved to travel and was a fan of the Buckeyes and Cleveland Indians.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday Sept. 29, 2018 at 11:00 am in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Mike Greenler officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the Crawford County Humane Society or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home.
