Barbara Jean Jacobs

Biography: Barbara Jean Jacobs, age 90, passed away January 18, 2022 at home surrounded by family. Barb was born to the late Edward and Mary Fern (Feasel) Schimpf May 8, 1931 in Lykens Ohio. Barb is preceded in death by her husband Carl Jacobs; stillborn daughter, Penny Lynn; sister, Patricia Gerhart; great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Martin Jr.
Barb is survived by daughter, Linda K. (John) Meyer; grandchildren, Tracey (Martin) Vanek, Jennifer Meyer, and Ashley Meyer; great grandchildren, Brandi Vanek and Zach Vanek; sister, Phyllis L. Arve.
Barb was a graduate of Lykens in 1950. She retired from Timken after 30 years as an inspector. She was a former Moose, Elks, American Legion, Golden Gems, and Red Hatters member. She enjoyed playing Bingo, cards, slots, fishing, and most importantly spending time with her family. She loved her dogs Rocco and Chloe, they were her babies.
