Anne Mae Rathers

Biography:  Anne Mae Rathers, 94 of 212 W. Mary St. passed away at 2:40 am Sunday June 16, 2013 at home, she had been ill for the past year.  Anne was born Feb. 2, 1919 in Greenbriar, TN to the late Will and Clio (Jones) Phillips.  She was married in 1946 to Rufus Rathers who preceded her in death.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sons Tommy and Monnie, sister Mary Ann Stanley, brother Park Phillips, and grandchildren Toby Rathers and Ashley Frazier.
 
Annie is survived by daughters Linda Fritz and Mary Stahl both of Bucyrus; sons Timothy (Bea) Rathers of Bucyrus and Paul (Judy) Rathers of Galion; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren; as well as sister Julia Ann Collyer of Bucyrus.
 
Annie was a homemaker and moved to Bucyrus in 1961.  She enjoyed knitting, her flowers, and playing bingo.
 
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Manzo Surgener officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of service.  Memorials may be made through the funeral home and expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
