Adelaide "Dudy" Metzger Kinn

Biography:  Adelaide "Dudy" Metzger Kinn, 87 of Bucyrus passed away on Friday September 15, 2017 at Bucyrus Community Hospital, her death was unexpected.  Dudy was born August 2, 1930 in   Bucyrus to the late Milton and Elsie (Lappan) Metzger.  She was married over 65 years ago to Kenneth Kinn in Tocoma, WA, he survives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers Chester "Buddy" Metzger, and John Jack Metzger, as well as one sister Marion Metzger,.
Dudy is also survived by sons Lundy (Melinda) Kinn and Tracy (Diane) Kinn both of Bucyus as well as one granddaughter Miya Kinn (her best enjoyment was when she became a grandma to her only granddaughter). She is also survived by 5 nieces and nephews.
Dudy graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1948 and moved to the Tacoma, WA area to get married and be with her husband who was stationed at the U.S. Navy Base.  When he was stationed overseas Dudy went to San Francisco and worked until he was discharged. She and her husband enjoyed the times out west with the city life and sightseeing.
Dudy was a homemaker for her family until the boys grew up and she became active in the Y.M.C.A.  She enjoyed playing tennis, raquetball, and swimming.  She joined a group of lady friends who bicycled to Galion, Crestline, Upper Sandusky, and other small towns for lunch, even traveling as far as Huron to visit her mother and sister.  She was a member of the CCL Mothers Club for 30 years, a poll worker for 34 years, YMCA member for over 40 years and a member of the American Legion Post 181 Ladies Aux. for 50 years.  Dudy was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church.
