Sarah G. Hartzler, a resident of Bucyrus for many years and most recently of Galion, passed away on Tuesday morning at 7:20 am in Olentangy Woods, Galion, she was 93 yrs. of age. Mrs. Hartzler was born July 5, 1916 in Woodsfield, OH to the late Charles and Elizabeth (Howell) Decker. She was married Nov. 6, 1943 to Harvey D. Hartzler who preceded her in death on Sept. 20, 1995. In addition to her husband, Sarah was preceded in death by grandson David Daniels, 5 brothers and 1 sister.

Mrs. Hartzler is survived by three daughters; Elizabeth Daniels, Bucyrus; Della Fultz, Bucyrus; and Diann (Gary) Shearer of Galion; 6 grandchildren; Dawn Raifsnider, Marathon, OH; Richard (Deb) Fultz, Leesville; Diana (Bret) Jones, Rasaca, GA; Susan (Nate) Klink, E. Liberty, OH; Jessica (Bret) Starner, Galion; Holly (Jim) Rossman, Caledonia; 8 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brother John (Annie) Decker, Wadsworth, OH; sister Esther Williams, Clinton, OH; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hartzler was a homemaker and member of Gospel Baptist Church.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 2:00 pm in the Gospel Baptist Church with Pastor Monty Trammel officiating, burial will be in Crawford County Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church from noon until the time of service. Memorials may be made in the form of contributions through the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home.
