Doris F. Smith, 75 of Bucyrus passed away on Monday June 26, 2017 at Bucyrus Community Hospital, her death was unexpected. Doris was born March 17, 1942 in Kentucky to the late Claude and Zeoli (Hess) Compton. She was married June 2, 1960 to Larry Ronald “Ron” Smith who preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 2006. Ruth L. Shoemaker-Seits, 86 of Bucyrus passed away on Saturday June 24, 2017 at Heartland of Bucyrus. She was preceded in death by husbands Paul G. Shoemaker and William Seits as well as children Stephen and Diana. No formal services are planned and memorial contributions may be made to the Crawford Co. Humane Society. Dustin “Ryan” Schmidt
Dustin “Ryan” Schmidt, age 36 of Mansfield, and formerly of Bucyrus died unexpectedly Saturday June 10, 2017. Ryan was born November 11, 1980 in Shelby and was a 2000 graduate of Colonel Crawford High School where he played football and was a member of the Track Team. He served in the U.S. Army from 2000-2003 which included one tour of duty in Bosnia. After an honorable discharge, Ryan worked as a tree trimmer, truck driver, and cell tower repairman.   Read more...
