Viola Mae Watkins,
80 of Bucyrus passed away at 9:45 am Saturday morning in Altercare of Bucyrus where she has been failing in health for the past 2 years.   Viola was born January 18, 1932 in Olds, Iowa to the Late Vernon and Gladys Irene (Ross) Beatty.  She married William Watkins Sr. on November 9, 1950 who preceded her in death.  In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Evelyn Tasker and Thelma Catherine Beatty.  Viola is survived by her sons, William Jr. (Sophia) Watkins, Allan Watkins, both of Bucyrus and Roger Lee Watkins of Baltimore Maryland; her daughter, Connie Richards of Bucyrus; her sisters, Wanda (Ulis) Hess of Bucyrus, Carolyn (Ralph) Redman of Winter Haven, Florida; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. 
Viola came to the community in 1950 where she worked Miracle Mart in Bucyrus, VFW Post 1078, and North Electric in Galion. 

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10 am to 12 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill funeral home where Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon with Pastor Monty Trammel officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

Darlene R. Robinson
, 82 of Bucyrus passed away Thursday in her home.  She was born in May 20, 1929 in Greenup, KY to the late Floyd Carmichael and Edna (Gilliam) McDowell.  On December 9, 1944, she married Samuel Robinson Jr. who preceded her in death on January 6, 1986.

Darlene is survived by her brother, Floyd Carmichael, her sister, Jane McClintock both of Bucyrus and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Darlene is preceded in death by sisters, Nancy, Rose, and Lilly Mae; brothers Clyde, Blaine, and Walter. 
Darlene moved to Bucyrus after being married. She moved from Bucyrus to Florida where she lived for 20 years then returning to Bucyrus in 2001. She retired Checkmate Boat Company where she worked part time and the Vasil Company.  She truly enjoyed gardening and flowers.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8 pm in the funeral home.  Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 1:30 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Hager officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.  The Family has requested memorial contributions be made through the funeral home in her memory.

Paul J. Kibler
, 83, of Bucyrus passed away Friday morning. Paul was born May 18, 1928 in Lykens to the late Clement and Mable (Miller) Kibler. He was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Lou, the mother of his three sons. In addition to Mary Lou, he was preceded in death by a stillborn daughter; sister Catherine; and Brother Roy Jr. Paul Married Ruth Jan. 18th1991 and she survives.

In addition to wife Ruth, Paul is survived by sons Gary, Dan, and Steve; grandchildren Connie, Chris, and Olivia; step children G. Marc (Michelle) Schell and C. Dawn (Doug) Schnabel; step grandchildren Joel, Graham, and Mackenzie Schell; Chelsea (Martin) Schnabel, Cody (Amber) Schnabel; step great grandchildren Jacob and Ella Martin as well as Makaila Schnabel; sister Marie (Al) Fay; and sister in law Betty Kibler.

Mr. Kibler graduated from Lykens H.S. in 1946. Paul built towers and worked at Timken for 32 ½ years. For many years Paul worked demolition with his brother and hauled stone. He was a member of the Bucyrus Masonic Lodge #139, Scottish Rite and Aladdin Temple of Columbus and a Life Member of the Bucyrus Shrine Club. He was also a member of the Bucyrus Moose Lodge #669. Paul loved his two cats Velvet and Friskie as well as going to auctions.

Paul’s request was for his body to be given to the Department of Anatomy, College of Medicine at OSU for anatomical study. Memorial and Masonic Services will be held on Monday at 3:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Don Kraps officiating. Marilyn G. Bayless
, 77 of Bucyrus went home to be with the Lord on Saturday evening in Bucyrus Community Hospital.  Marilyn was born June 9, 1934 in New Winchester, Ohio to the late Virgil and Fairy (Cress) Johns.  On July 13, 1963 she married Bruce Bayless who preceded her in death on August 25, 1984.  She is also preceded in death by her son, Donald, 1 grandchild, 2 great grandchildren, and 2 great - great grandchildren and her sister Dortha Cribbs.    She is survived by her sons, Jesse (Sarah), Rev. Lyle (Mary), Dave (Sheri), Sherman (Val)  and Bill (Tammy) of Bucyrus; her Daughters, Mary Mogel, Mrs. Pam (Steve) Scott of KY, Nancy Eulett, and Brenda Lohr of Bucyrus, Mrs. Sharon (Paul) Ten Eyck of Caledonia; brother, Ira Johns of Bucyrus, 40 grandchildren, 78 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren.  Marilyn lived her entire life her in the community graduating as part of the Bucyrus Class of 1952 and attended Elkhart Business University.  She was a homemaker, worked as the Circulation Bookkeeper for the Bucyrus Telegraph Forum, and cooked for Heartland in Bucyrus.   She was a member of the Bucyrus Church of God Where she served as the President of the Ladies Ministry. 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11 am in the Bucyrus Church of God with Rev. Earnest Surgener officiating, burial will be in Crawford County Memory Gardens.

Leroy Emory 
 of Galion passed away on Thursday Jan. 5, 2012 in Mansfield Med Central following a brief illness.  Mr. Emory was born July 1, 1930 in Greenup County, KY to the late Daniel Boone and Virginia (Riley) Emory.  He was married March 5, 1985 to Janis (Rimmer) Emory who survives. In addition to his parent, he was preceded in death by brothers William, John, and Floyd as well as sisters Virginia Salyers and Lennie Pierce.

Leroy is also survived by daughters Nora, Patty, Marci, and Tracy; step children Sophia, Kathy, and Debra; 10 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

Leroy was retired from Swan Rubber after 42 years.  He was a member of Gospel Baptist Church. A veteran of the Korean War, Leroy had worked at the U.N.  He was well known for giving Bible Studies at Bucyrus and Galion nursing homes and loved to read the Bible.  Mr. Emory was formerly an Aux. Bucyrus Police Officer and a Special Deputy for the Sheriff and State Patrol.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 pm in the Gospel Baptist Church with Rev. , most recently a resident of Orchard Park, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 5th after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.  Myrt was born August 9, 1926 in Ringold, OH to the late George and Inez (Hedrick) Peters.  She was married March 4, 1946 to John McGraw who preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by brothers Bill and Jack Peters and sisters Eddie and Maxine Peters.

Myrt is survived by four children: Dan McGraw, St. Petersburg, FL; Sandy (McGraw) and Bob Laipply, Bucyrus, OH; Penny (McGraw) and Steve Lengyel, Venice, FL; Deborah Diane McGraw, North Liberty, IA; six grandchildren: Jason and Kelly (Graham) Laipply, Hilliard, OH; Jeni (Laipply-Hawkins )and Jim Newman, Gahanna, OH; Judson Laipply, and fiancé Erin Duaney, North Ridgeville, OH; Eric and Andrea Lengyel, Roseville, CA; Amy Lengyel and Brian Gagnon, Sarasota, FL; Tim and Jessica (McCue) McGraw, Danvers, MA; and five great-grandchildren: Ryan Hawkins, Beth and Carly Graham, Devon and Kylee McGraw.

Myrt grew up in Lancaster and married John soon after his discharge from the Army.  Their four children were born in Lancaster, but the family lived in Marion, Delaware, and Columbus before settling in Bucyrus in 1960.  Myrt worked as the bookkeeper at Fischer’s Hardware, as an operator for United Telephone Company, and owned and operated, with John, the Teen Dream, later renamed the Hamburger Hut.  After closing the restaurant, Myrt and John went on the road with McGraw’s Chicken, visiting fairs and festivals all over Ohio. She was an active member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where she sang soprano in the choir and helped with Bingo, the Calico Angel Craft Show, and the Rosary Altar Society. She was also active in community affairs, including; Meals on Wheels, Crawford County Courthouse, Salvation Army, and Bucyrus Little Theater. Myrt created a beautiful garden at her home on Lucas Street and was an excellent cook, pianist, and seamstress.  She loved hosting big holiday celebrations for her family and was always ready to go places and have fun with her family and friends. When she moved to Assisted Living her cat, Mitten, went along and was both a comfort and entertainment for many years.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Church on Wednesday at  10:30a.m. with Father John Miller as Celebrant,  burial will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery. Friends may call at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Tuesday where the family will receive friends from 4 to 7 PM.  The family suggests memorial donations be directed to the American Parkinson’s Foundation or to Home Care Matters Hospice.  Expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com

Brenden James Stone
was stillborn at Galion Community Hospital Dec. 29, 2011.  Branden is the son of Jill (Baldinger) and Matt Stone of Bucyrus.  He is also survived by his maternal family great grandmother Hazel Lee; Step grandmother Constance Davis-Lee both of Crestline; grandfather Michael Baird, Bucyrus; great uncles John Lee and Willard “Gene” (Cindy) Lee both of Crestline; aunt Carin Shick of Ashland KY and her daughter Tiffany; Uncle James Baldinger of Collins, OH; sisters Andrea and Kayla Holmes, Raven Hardymon, Taylor Wooton, and brother Nathen Holmes. He was preceded in death by members of his mothers family,  great grandfather Richard “Dick” Lee; grandmother Mary Stover; great aunt Anna Lee; cousins Alex Shick and Xayver Roberts. Brenden’s paternal family includes grandmother and grandfather Alice and Jesse Stone of Bucyrus; uncle Jesse (Sherri) Stone of N.C.; aunt Sherry Stone of Portsmouth; sister Claudia Stone and preceded in death by brother Alexander Stone and sister Megan Stone.

Joseph M. Kottyan
, 91 years of age, passed away on Saturday at 9:20 am in Altercare of Bucyrus following a short illness.  Mr. Kottyan had been a resident of the Bucyrus-Galion area his entire life.  Born May 7, 1920 in Bucyrus to the late John M. and Theresa R. (Kalman) Kottyan, Joe was married Oct. 11, 1947 to the former Mary A. Armstrong who preceded him in death on Jan. 18, 2007.  In addition to his wife, Joe was preceded in death by brothers John Kottyan Jr. and Edward Kottyan; sister Rosdalie Droll; and daughter in law Kay Clegg.

Mr. Kottyan is survived by son and daughter in law Thomas and Pam Kottyan of rural Bucyrus; nephew raised as his son, Terry Clegg of Bucyrus; 4 grandchildren;8 great grandchildren;  sister-in-law Mary Kay Kottyan of Upper Sandusky, OH; and niece Lisa Cundiff of Belvidere, NJ  and her mother and former sister- in- law Virginia Mingus of Bucyrus.

Mr. Kottyan lived his entire life in this area and was a Blacksmith at the former Shunk manufacturing and retired as a machinist at Galion Iron Works in 1985.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and American Legion Post 181.  Joe was a sergeant during WWII, proudly serving in the  Army Air Corps in the Ordinance Comp. with the Jolly Rogers 400th Bomber Group.  He served in the Pacific Theatre most of which was in New Guinea.  Joe enjoyed mowing, gardening, fishing, visiting relatives, his faithful dogs, all named “Teddy”, and tending to his trees, grapes, and flowers.

Joe Agee
, 77, of Bucyrus passed away at 6:30 pm Friday at Altercare of Bucyrus, he had been seriously ill for the past 3 months.  Joe was born January 3, 1934 in Greenbriar, TN to the late Tilman and Fronie (Lewis) Agee.  He was married April 3, 1971 to Lucille (Musselman) Agee who survives.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son Randy, brother Lloyd, and sister Nellie Byrum.

Joe is also survived by children Phyllis Saffell, Sherry Cuffman, Lori Agin, Step son William Love, all of the Bucyrus area; step daughters Kathy Harris and Connie Alaniz of Houston area; 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and sister Noveda Davis of Bucyrus.

Mr. Agee was a truck driver and had worked at Swan Rubber.  For many years Joe was an Auxillary Police Officer.  He lived his lifetime in the community and was a member of the Kaler Ave. Church of Christ in Christian Union as well as the Bucyrus Moose Lodge.

Sharon J. Cross
, 70, of Bucyrus passed away on Friday at 11:45 am in Riverside Hospital, Columbus.  Sharon was born Feb. 11, 1941 in Hicksville, OH to the late Clifford and Helen (Jackson) Weeks.  She was married April 12, 2002 to Willard W. Cross Sr. who survives.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son Steven Miller; brothers Morris and Wilbur; one sister Velda Shull; step granddaughter Becky, and step children Julie Ann and Randy.

Sharon is survived by sons Edward Miller of Bucyrus and Michael Miller of Sycamore; grandchildren Sarah, Andy, Brian, Matthew, and Jamie; one great grandchild Cody; step children Billy of Florida; Samuel, Paul, and Joan Cross all of Bucyrus; 7 step grandchildren; one step great grandchild Angelica; brother Waldo Weeks of OH; sister Joan Markel of Zanesville, OH as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Sharon moved to Bucyrus in 1974 from Hicksville and was a homemaker.  She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist.

Dolly K. Pollock
 60 of Bucyrus died at home Saturday morning unexpectedly after a brief illness. She was born November 7, 1951 in Bucyrus to Hatten “Cappy” Graves, and Rosella (Schnabel) Graves, both deceased. On November 20, 1981 she married Alan Lee Pollock who survives. Along with her Parents she is preceded in death by Brother Billy Perdue, Granddaughter Sydney Pollock, and Grandson Nash Pollock.

Also surviving are Children Todd Clingman and former Wife Amy,  Ryan (Jenny) Clingman, and Tonya Clingman all of Bucyrus,  Step-Daughter Divena (Steve) Smith,  Step Sons Shad (Megan) Pollock and Jeran (Nici) Pollock,  Grandchildren;  Haley and Shania Clingman, Meagan     Wiseman, Kheera and Kyle Clingman, Cole, Jasmine and Braxton Clingman, Maci and Kaylyn Risner, Brinnen and Turner Smith, Avyriel and Hudson Pollock, Briley, Caden, Karsyn Pollock, Sisters, Kay Cornell, Edna (Bill) Adams,  both of Bucyrus, and Dawn Graves of Buck Creek Indiana.

Dolly had worked at Swan Rubber for 10 years, Baja Boats for 6 years, cleaned for various businesses and residents and was a Realator with A+ and Sluss Realty.

Dolly graduated from Scioto Village High School in Powell Ohio and attended Marion Tech for 3 years. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Bucyrus Chapter 749.

Friends may call at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Thursday where Services will be held at 11 AM on Friday with Gary Schiefer officiating. Larry M. Agin
, Sr., 66, of Bucyrus passed away early Thursday at the O.S.U. Medical Center, his death was unexpected.  Larry was born July 15, 1945 in Mansfield to the late Russell Agin and Margaret (Turner) Ekleberry.  He was married June 11, 1966 to Brenda (Lewis) Agin who survives. 

Larry is also survived by step mother Evelyn Agin of Bucyrus; son Larry (Shan Fortner) Agin Jr. of Bucyrus; grandchildren Tyler and Seth, step grandchildren Sara and Tessa; sisters Nancy Bucholtz, CA; Sharron (Paul) Shearer, Bucyrus; Billie (Rick) Davis, Galion; Kathy (Larry) Makeever, Bucyrus; brother Terry Agin, North Robinson; mother in law Virginia Lewis of Bucyrus; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Larry lived his entire life in Bucyrus.  He attended Col. Crawford School and worked at Anchor Swan for 38 years, retiring in 2002.  Larry enjoyed restoring tractors and small vehicles, sports, and took great pride in him home.

Reatha Marie Burling,
89, formerly of Bucyrus and a resident of Riverside CA since 1977, went to be with the Lord Sunday Dec 18, 2011 in California.  Mrs. Burling was born January 11, 1922 in Wooster, OH to the late Royal and Flossie Fay (Bevington) Warner.  Reatha was adopted in 1928 and raised by Arthur and Mable (Gelbaugh) Ward.   She was married Oct. 19, 1940 to Alvin G. “Babe” Burling who preceded her in death in 1975.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by son Johnny G. Burling in 1945, daughter Darlene A. Gilliland in 2009, sisters; Edna Carter and Reva Swain;  and brothers Ray, Ross, Roy and Earl Warner as well as her adopted brothers Ed and Donald Ward.

Reatha is survived by daughters; Kathleen (Boyd) Studer of Attica, OH, Jeanne Klingenberger of Canyon Lake; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild; sister Elverda Simms of Lima, OH;  son-in-law Charles Gilliland of Raymond.

Reatha was an airplane riveter in Columbus during WWII while Alvin served overseas.  After the war, she and her husband settled in Bucyrus and the family enjoyed fishing and boating at Lake Erie.  After retiring from General Electric, Reatha moved to CA in 1977.  She enjoyed tending her rose garden, reading, and traveling to see her children.  For the past several years she had the pleasure of living with Jeanne in Canyon Lake, CA.

Margie A. Monk-Swihart
, 64 yrs. of age, formerly of Bucyrus and most recently of Shelby, passed away at 9:40 pm in Shelby following a long struggle with cancer. Margie was born Nov. 13, 1947 in Bucyrus to the late Gillie and Bessie (Brooks) Brown.  She was first married Oct. 23, 1966 to Dwight “Dude” Monk who preceded her in death April 22, 1994.  Her second marriage was to Mark Swihart of Shelby, he survives. 

Margie is survived by children; Cherie (Mark) Ferguson, Shelby; Michelle (Curt) Pence, Mansfield; Brian Monk of New York City; Stacey (Steve Scott) Monk, N. Robinson; Courtney (John) Oliver, Marion; grandchildren Mark, Hollie, Mariah, Amber, George, Cam, Jonathan, Gauge, and Marissa; great grandchildren Jonathan, Kamron, Kaleb, Olivia, Karissa, and Katelyn; brothers; James, Bucyrus, Larry (Janina) , of Orlando, FL; sister Carol (Garry) Harris, Mansfield.

Margie was a Licensed Practical Nurse, she lived her entire life in this area and was a member of the Church of God.  Margie graduated from Buckeye Central High School in 1965 and the Tri Rivers Nursing School in Marion.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and faithful wife.

Ruth E. (Dible) Rimmer
, 81, most recently a resident of Kettle Run in Bucyrus, passed away at 5:50 pm Tuesday at Altercare of Bucyrus.  Ruth was born December 27, 1929 to the late Paul and Wilda D. (Harruff) Thomas.  She was married June 7, 1947 to Richard Frederick Dible who preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 1975.  In 1985 Ruth married Benjamin Rimmer who preceded her in death Oct. 4, 1992.  In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by son Charles David Dible as well as brothers and sisters; Paul Edward Thomas Jr, Charles Agusta Thomas, Dorothy Harriger, Eugene Thomas, and Donna Edgar.

Ruth is survived by son Al (Debbie) Dible, Galion; daughter Brenda (Charles) Clady, Chatfield; grandchildren Richard “Richie” Dible, Jonathon “JJ” Dible, Charles “Chuck” Clady, Jessica Clady, Brian Dible, Bill Feasel, and Holly Fitch; great grandchildren Jakhob and Jordan Clady, Zoie, Eva, and Mila Lewis, Lucas Dible; sister Catherine Walter, Bucyrus; and daughter in law Cathy Dible of Bucyrus.

Ruth formerly managed the LK restaurant in Bucyrus and she retired from Maplecrest.  She graduated from BHS in 1947 and was a charter member of the Amvets Post #27 Ladies Aux.  Ruth enjoyed crocheting, crosswords, and bingo.

Harold L. Beeson, 81, of Bucyrus passed away with his family by his side on Saturday evening at Olentangy Woods in Galion.  Harold was born Oct. 7, 1930 in Bucyrus to the late Calvin and Flossie (Sickmiller) Beeson.  He was married Feb. 13, 1954 to Phylis D. (Myers) Beeson who preceded him in death on Nov. 21, 2003.  In addition to his wife, Harold was preceded in death by brother Calvin Beeson Jr. and a half brother.

Mr. Beeson is survived by daughters Leslie (Harry) Holbrook, Galion; Jamie (Mike Allonas) Johnson, Bucyrus; grandchildren Lindsay (Alan) Garverick, Matt (Leslie) Kunzer, Connor Johnson; step grandchildren Brandie (Garrett) Brownstein, Dallas Holbrook, Alexus F. Holbrook; sister in law Shirley Beeson; and nephew Kevin (Vicky) Beeson of New Washington.

Mr. Beeson retired in the early 1980’s from General Motors in Ontario.  He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran during the Korean War.  Harold enjoyed traveling to Florida, camping, and spending time with his family.

Graveside Services will be held on Thursday at 11:30 am in Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Larry L. Ryland
, 70, of Bucyrus passed away late Friday Dec. 2, 2011 in Bucyrus Community Hospital following an extended illness.  Larry was born Dec. 7, 1940 in Bucyrus to the late Arthur J. and Kathryn Louise (Ream) Ryland.  He was married July 9, 1988 to Jeaness C. (Plumley) Richmond Ryland who survives.  In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by brothers Ronald and Arthur as well as 2 sisters Eleanor and Kathy.

In addition to wife Jeaness, Larry is survived by step children Scott A. Richmond of Columbus; Cheryl L. (Brad) Ash of Bloomington, IN; grandson Brian Richmond Ash; brother Bruce E. (Pearl) Ryland of Leesburg, FL; sister Betty (Rod) Neumann of Ft. Wayne, IN; brother in law Jeff Turner, Bucyrus and sister in law Patricia Ryland of Bucyrus.

Larry worked at the former Swan Rubber Co. in Bucyrus for 37 years.  He was a Bucyrus High School Graduate and member of the First Church of the Nazarene.  Larry enjoyed bowling years ago and in most recent years enjoyed visiting with friends at the Pelican House in the afternoons.  Larry knew no strangers and was a friend to many.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Ray LaSalle officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home Monday (today) from 5-8 pm.  The family suggests memorials be made to the Nazarene Church or the Salvation Army.

Thomas Mark Stuckert, 56, longtime resident of both Bucyrus and Marion, passed away on Monday at the home of his daughter in Marion following a four month illness.  Tom was born in Bucyrus June 7, 1955 to the late Thomas L. Stuckert and Jean B. (Bennetts) Stuckert who survives in Bucyrus.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by wife LeeAnn (Sansotta) Stuckert and brother David.

Tom is also survived by daughter Christina C. (Brian) Dyer of Marion; granddaughter Skyler Dawn Stuckert; brothers William A. (Tess) and their children Amanda and Megan of Minn.; C. Douglas (Jackie) and daughter Amber;  P. Andrew (Angela Tallman) and his son Nicholas; the late David Stuckerts daughter Jennifer; 3 great nieces and 1 great nephew.

Tom was an interior decorator and carpenter.  He graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1973 and was a U.S. Army Veteran.  Tom enjoyed watching NASCAR.

Russell Lee Raifsnider, 65 yrs. of age, of Bucyrus passed away early Sunday at home , he had been in failing health for the past month.  Russell was born Dec. 19, 1945 in Lewistown, PA to the late Earl Chester and Bonnie Lou (Perry) Raifsnider.  He was married Jan. 22, 1965 to Paulette (Myers) Raifsnider who survives.

Russell is also survived by son Troy Raifsnider and daughter Tonya Byrum both of Bucyrus; 5 grandchildren;  brother Donald (Sharon) of Westerville; and sister Sandra (Mike) Tompkins of Crestline.

Russell last worked at Foodtown as a meat cutter and prior to that for the Bucyrus Police Dept. for 5 years.  He enjoyed both boating and fishing.

John W. Young, 66 yrs. of age, of Bucyrus passed away on Friday evening at 9:35 pm at home.  John was born June 3, 1945 in Bucyrus to the late Darrell and Ura (Tharp) Young.  He was married June 11, 1966 to Linda K. (Clark) Young who survives.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters Barbara Spurlock and Alva Wellman as well as step brother Ralph Claus.

John is also survived by daughter Angela (Shawn) Wiparina; son Ray Allen (Barbara) Young both of Bucyrus; grandchildren Jennifer (Justin) Stephens, Marion and Amanda K. Wiparina, Bucyrus; 1 great grandchild Lyberti Stephens; brothers James (Setuka), KY; Earnest (Esther); Robert (Janice); Larry (Diane) all of Bucyrus; sisters Gloria (Pastor Carl) Angel of Oceola; Pat (John) Fogus, Indiana; Mary Ward of Bucyrus; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

John lived his entire life in Bucyrus and had attended Mt. Zion School.  John retired from Swan after 43 years and was Past President of Local Steel Workers Union #673.  He was a member of the Salvation Army and enjoyed fishing, watching western movies, and most of all being with his family.

Memorial Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am in the Oceola Pentecostal Tabernacle with Pastor Carl Angel officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Salvation Army or Oceola Pentecostal through the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home.  Expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com

Hubert D. Whited
, 81 of Bucyrus passed away Friday evening in Bucyrus Community Hospital.  He was born August 23, 1930 in Jewell Ridge, Virginia to the late Roby and Naomi (Hess) Whited. 

He is survived by his wife Ellen (Rose), whom he married August 24, 1951; his son Mike (Lisa)  of Bucyrus; his granddaughters, Elaine and Becky and his grandson, Cody; 2 great granddaughters and 2 great grandsons.  Also surviving is his brother, Linkous (Bea) Whited of Virginia; His sister, Virginia Phipps of Virginia; and his special sister in law and brother in law, Doris (Ron) Musick.  He is preceded in death by his brother, McKinley and his sister, Dorothy. 

He was employed with the Swan Rubber Company until he retired in 1979.  He was a member of the Good Faith Baptist Church in Marion where he was a Deacon. 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 – 8 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 am with Pastor Barkley Slone officiating.  Burial will be in Crawford County Memory Gardens. 

The family has requested memorial contributions be made to the church in his memory.

Andrew Vance, 90, of Bucyrus passed away on Thursday at Bucyrus Community Hospital following a brief illness.  Andrew was born in Magewell, W. Virginia, July 13, 1921 to the late Robert and Susie (Smith) Vance .  He was married for 70 years to Ethel Cleo (Trent) Vance who preceded him in death on Aug. 12, 2011.

Mr. Vance is survived by daughter Ethel Mae Pfleider of Marion, 6 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren,11 great great grandchildren, and one sister Goldie Hayman of Baltimore, Md.  In addition to his wife, Andrew was preceded in death by daughter Betty Louise Wolford and grandson Louis Benedict.

Andrew retired from Swan after several years.  He was a member of Freewill Baptist Church where he had been very active in the building of the church.  He enjoyed going to auctions and watching sports.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am in the Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. James R. Case, 73, of Bucyrus passed away at 4:40 am Friday at Heartland of Bucyrus.  James was born Jan. 27, 1938 in Nevada to the late Stewart and Helen (Alspach) Case.  He was married April 24, 1959 to Helen Elizabeth (Schifer) Case who survives.

James is also survived by children Brad (Pam) Case of Carey; Mitch (Lynn) Case, Bucyrus; Todd (Tammy) Case, Bucyrus; grandchildren Logan, Brittany, Don, Jared, Courtney, Dylan, and Ashley; great grandchild Brodie; brothers Jerry Case of Columbus and Jan Case of Carey; as well as two sisters Joy Kinsley, Upper Sandusky and Joan Case of Nevada.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter Beth.

James was an independent truck driver and last worked for Roadway, retiring 14 years ago.  He was a graduate of Nevada High School and loved sports, especially golf in his later years.
