Michael J. Blankenship, 31, of rural Galion died Tuesday January 26, 2010. He was born March 13, 1978 in Galion to Calvin and Marci (Bogan) Blankenship.
Mike is survived by his mom Marci Blankenship of Bucyrus, two children Logan and Haley Blankenship, maternal grandfather James Bogan of Galion, two aunts; Janet (Raymond) Steward of Mansfield and Lorraine (Hollis) Walter of Galion.
He is preceded in death by his father Calvin Blankenship, maternal grandmother Violet Bogan, maternal step-grandmother Vivian Bogan and paternal grandmother Hattie Blankenship. An area resident his entire life, he was a 1996 graduate of Colonel Crawford High School and later graduated from the Nashville Auto Diesel college. Mike worked at BPT, Covert Manufacturing, Transco and at Central State Enterprises. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, North Robinson and enjoyed computers and riding motorcycles.
Memorial service will be Saturday January 30, 2010 at 4PM in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Pastor Wilmer Hallman officiating. Calling hours will begin two hours prior to the funeral at 2PM.
