Lester V. Fritz, Sr., 91 yrs of age, of 935 E. Warren St., Bucyrus died on Monday morning at 8:53 am in O.S.U. Hospital, Columbus following a very brief illness. Mr. Fritz was born July 28, 1917 in Sycamore to the late Victor and Carrie (Hale) Fritz. He was married Mar 30, 1945 to F. Maxine (Wogan) Fritz who preceded him in death on May 23, 2005. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by daughter Sharon, grandchildren Lisa Marie and Amber Nicole, sisters Theresa and Geraldine, as well as brothers Marvin and Mervin.

Mr. Fritz is survived by children; Lester "Butch" (Norma) Fritz, Jr, Bucyrus; Fred (Diane) Fritz, Bucyrus; Esther Freeman, Crestline; Kathleen Byrum, Bucyrus; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and sister Beulah Geissman of Indianapolis, IN.

Mr. Fritz retired from the Timken Company in 1980 after 29 years. He was a member of the Bucyrus Moose Lodge #669, VFW Post 1078, was a longtime former member of the U.C.T. and Amvets; enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was well known for many years as "Fritz the Clown".

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Wiechers officiating, burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday where the family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The family suggests memorials be in the form of contributions to Fairway-Waycraft.
