Janet L. Lady, 80, of Bucyrus died early Saturday morning Jan. 9, 2010 at Bucyrus Community Hospital from a brief illness.
She was born March 5, 1929 in Mansfield, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Lewis and Elizabeth (Wood) Widman.

On November 20, 1948 she married Mike Lady and he preceded her in death on October 7, 1987. In addition, she is preceded in death by a daughter Mary Edgington and a brother William Widman.

Janet is survived by two sons; Lewis Lady and wife Gayle of Batavia, Ohio, Randy Lady and wife Terry of Bucyrus, son-in-law Jim Edgington of Bucyrus, 3 Grandchildren Cynthia Shupp and husband Brian, Laura (Rob Koons) Naufzinger, Steve Edgington and wife Vicki all of Bucyrus and 6 Great Grandchidren.

She graduated from Sulphur Springs school and was a past member of the Loss Creek Lutheran Church where she played the piano and organ. Janet helped her husband with Lady's Marathon by keeping the books. She was an active and long time member of Good Hope Lutheran Church and enjoyed cooking, crocheting and especially spending time with her family.

Calling hours will be Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Tuesday Jan. 12, 2010 at 11AM in Good Hope Lutheran Church with Pastors Dave Bliss and Harold Hasenauer officiating.
