Helen I. Lambert, 73, changed her address of 1383 Knauss Rd., Bucyrus, OH to her heavenly home in glory with her Lord and Savior, on Sunday February 7, 2010. She passed away peacefully at home being loved and cared for by her family.
Helen was born Sept. 28, 1936 in Concord, KY to the late Cecil and Elsie (Irwin) Spriggs. Helen was the pastor's wife and member of the Sharon Christian Holiness Church, 4391 Beechgrove Rd., Bucyrus.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Donald W. Lambert whom she married on May 29, 1953 in Bucyrus. Together they started a family of 9 children, 23 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren who were her greatest joy in life. She was a homemaker, who delighted in making quilts for her family, taking her grandchildren on garage sale trips, gardening and canning for everyone and doing volunteer work to help others. Most of all, she wanted her family to know Jesus as their personal Savior.
Along with her husband Donald, she is survived by 7 children, daughters Barbara (Tom) Brown, New Washington; Midge (Tom) Armbruster, Bucyrus; Allena Hunter, Tampa, FL; Sandra Wise of Ashland, OH; son Randy Lambert of Coudersport, PA; daughters Beth (Gary) Vinson, Bucyrus; Cindy Lambert, Bucyrus; daughter-in-law Norma (Duane) Sampsel, Wooster, 23 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; three sisters Wilma of San Antonio, TX; Barb Biddle of Galion; and Jane (Bob) Walters of Garrison, KY
She was preceded in death by two sons Donald O. Lambert and Thomas W. Lambert; great grandson Jonathon Gage Armbruster; son-in-law Rick L. Hunter; five brothers George, Charles, Ralph, Donald, and James Spriggs; five sisters Edna Foreman; Ethel Ruschman; Mildred Shreck, Allena Williams, and Thelma DaWalt.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral home with Rev. Orville Wayne Leonard officiating, Burial will be in Crawford County Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday where the family will recieve friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm The family suggests memorials be made through the funeral home and expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com |
