Gerald R. Wilson 84 formerly of Bucyrus, died Friday morning at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky where he had been the past 3 years. He was born September 11, 1924 in Marion County Ohio to Luther M and Ollie J. ( Mayhew) Wilson, both deceased. On May 12, 1950 he married Lois Bitner who died January 25, 1997. Also preceding him in death is a brother Louis D. Wilson.
Surviving are Son Robert Wilson of Bucyrus, Grandchildren Jennifer and Craig Wilson, Brothers Mack (Alice) Wilson of Sandusky OH, Donald (Norma) Wilson of Bucyrus, Sisters Uree Arnold of Dayton, Jean ( Elvin) Fisher of Pataskala OH, Carol (Wilbur) Graham, Sister-in-law Mildred Wilson, both of Bucyrus, several nieces and Nephews.

He attended school at Mt. Zion, and Sulpher Springs High School. A veteran of the U S Army, he was in the Military Police, In 1988 he retired from Bucyrus Road Materials after 30 years, then helped Rich Berger until 1998.
Friends may call at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Sunday from 1-3 and 6-8 PM, where Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11 AM. Pastor Kenneth Heiser will officiate with burial to follow in Crawford Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Gifts for Yanks.
